She finished as 1st runner-up and will represent Brazil at the 2008 Miss International pageant, in Macau, in September

Primeira deficiente auditiva a disputar o Miss Brasil, Vanessa se comunicou por meio de linguagem de sinais durante o concurso com a ajuda de uma intérprete.

Ficou em segundo lugar no concurso, e representará o Brasil no Miss Beleza Internacional 2008, em Macau, em Setembro.
